George R. Stevenson, Jr., P.E., SECB

BACKGROUND

George is a founding Principal at Structural Concepts, Inc. He acts as project principal, project manager, and structural engineer on many of the firm’s projects and shares in the responsibility for management of the firm. He has been working as a structural engineer since 1982 and worked in the construction industry for seven years prior to that, primarily in masonry, carpentry and concrete.

George has extensive experience designing structural systems for buildings, bridges, mining projects, water storage, and wastewater treatment facilities. He is also skilled in the design of foundation underpinning systems and designing structural repairs for historical buildings. He has performed countless structural investigations and acted as an expert witness on occasion when necessary. He has experience with numerous design-build projects and takes a constructability approach to design in order to achieve good project economy.
